This is an example where the sum is greater than the individual parts and it is not just with mushrooms. This rings true with almost all supplements that show promise as a complete food, but when isolated components are used the results are often not replicated.
So, tip one: if you’re considering mushroom supplements, read the label to make sure the ingredients say âmycelial body mass and fruiting bodyâ to get the full benefits of mushrooms.
Second, also make sure the dosage matches what was used in the studies.
Given the promising mushroom research, mushroom products could definitely be something to try – in your shakes, coffee, or straight as a snack.

Lion’s Mane Mushroom Supplements
The potential of Lion’s Mane mushroom appears to come from the way it stimulates nerve growth factor, which has effects on brain function.
