Cyclone Men’s Basketball announces non-conference schedule – KIWARadio.com
AMES, Iowa – Iowa State has announced its men’s basketball non-conference schedule for the 2021-22 season, the first season of head coach TJ Otzelberger leading the program.
The schedule includes 10 home games and is highlighted by games against Iowa in the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk series, Missouri in the Big 12 / SEC Challenge and the 2021 Elite Eight Oregon State participant.
Otzelberger’s debut is on Tuesday, November 9 against Kennesaw State at the Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones then host the State of Oregon on Friday, November 12.
The annual game against Iowa returns to the Hilton Coliseum on Thursday, December 9.
Iowa State has previously announced scheduled games at Creighton during the BIG EAST / Big 12 battle on Saturday, December 4, as well as the start of the NIT season which will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY on November 24-26. . In this holiday tournament, Iowa State will play two games against Memphis, Virginia Tech or Xavier.
The Big 12 / SEC Challenge returns to the Hilton Coliseum for the first time since 2018 as the Cyclones renew their rivalry with Missouri.
