HRRMC offers courses on men’s pelvic health and women’s menopause – by Daniel Smith
Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) Physical Therapy and Urology Services, along with Dr. Lydia Segal, MD, MPH, will be offering a free men’s health course and educational series beginning Friday, July 22. .
This six-week course will take place weekly from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and ends on Friday, August 26. Classes will be held at HRRMC’s main campus at the Outdoor Exercise Pavilion, located at 1000 Rush Drive in Salida.
Classes will focus on a review of reproductive and pelvic anatomy, common male urogenital diagnoses, sexual health, mobility and stability, pelvic muscle exercises, and more. Special guest speakers will introduce these topics.
The Outdoor Exercise Pavilion is located on the main HRRMC campus (behind the employee parking and RV locations).
Participants are requested to bring a camp chair to sit on. There will be no toilets or electricity available on site.
HRRMC will also be presenting a women’s menopause class on Tuesdays, 12-2 p.m., July 19-August 23, at HRRMC’s outdoor exercise pavilion on the main campus.
