Men’s lacrosse to host free community clinic and alumni game

PHILADELPHIA CREAM – St. Joseph’s Men’s Lacrosse Program will host a free community clinic and alumni game on Saturday, October 2 at Sweeney Field, Head Coach Taylor wray announced Tuesday.
The clinic is open to boys from Kindergarten to Grade 8 and will begin with check-in at 10:45 am at Sweeney Field. Classes will take place from 11 a.m. to noon. Full protection is required for Grades 3 to 8, with helmets and gloves only for Kindergarten to Grade 2.
âThe Community Clinic has been a great way to give back to the Philadelphia lacrosse community who have supported us over the years and made the Sweeney Field such an electric place to play in the spring,â said Wray. “Our team couldn’t be more excited that the future of Philly lacrosse is back on Hawk Hill.”

The alumni game will start at 1 p.m. with free entry for the general public. A group of Hawks alumni will choose the current Hawks roster. All other alumni who are not playing in the game are invited to watch and join the coaching staff for a post-game 5-7.

This game is an opportunity for our team. current to compete with someone else for the first time as well as a celebration of those alumni who made Saint Joseph’s lacrosse what it is today. “
The alumni squad will feature 11 alumni from all conferences, including current Philadelphia Wings defenseman Anthony Joaqium and former Defensive Player of the Year TJ Jones. A full list of former players can be found below.
The management of the alumni team will have recently graduated, Thomas halm ’21, and former team captains, Pat Sinnott ’12 and Will Farrell ’15.
