Promotional calendar unveiled for men’s soccer
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Four freebies, three Happy Hours, two Dollar Days and more highlight the 2021 promotional calendar for the University of West Virginia men’s soccer team.
The Mountaineers, led by a second-year coach Dan Stratford, are scheduled to play 10 regular-season games at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium this fall, featuring three Mid-American Conference opponents and key non-conference clashes against Pitt, Penn State and Ohio State. The team’s home opener is scheduled for Monday, August 30, as the Backyard Brawl is renewed against rival Pitt. Kick-off is 7 p.m. ET.

The first 550 fans in attendance for Pitt’s home opener will receive a WVU Men’s Football Bell. Additionally, fans can receive their 2021 calendar poster during the contest.
Trivia Night is scheduled for the Penn State game on Friday, September 3. Fans can play for a chance to win Nike gear, football tickets for future home games, and football tickets for the LIU game on September 11. the first of three Happy Hours this season, with half-price drinks at the kiosk from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Monday, September 6, against Loyola (Maryland) is World Cup night, with free entry for children 12 and under who wear their favorite football club or national team jersey for the game. . Children will also have the chance to participate in penalties on the field after the competition.
The Mountaineers will host the Ohio State in a Gold Rush game on Friday, September 10. The first 200 fans in attendance will receive a gold “Defend Dlesk” t-shirt, and fans can enjoy the second Happy Hour of the campaign before kickoff.
The first Dollar Day of the season will take place on Tuesday, September 21 against Dayton, with tickets and some concessions available for just $ 1 each.
The superhero night is scheduled for the Saint-Bonaventure game on Saturday, September 25. In addition to the first 250 fans receiving a mysterious superhero-themed poster, children 12 and under who dress like their favorite superhero will receive free entry into the game. . Plus, the match is Mountaineer Kids Club Night, with on-site inflatables and special appearances from Mr. Twister, the face paint artist and balloon animals, and Musket, the MKC mascot. Children will also have the opportunity to collect autographs from Mountaineer male soccer players after the competition.
Akron’s game, scheduled for Thursday, September 30, is Military and First Responder Night, with free entry to the stadium for those with matching ID. The contest also includes the third and final Happy Hour of the campaign, and the first 300 fans will receive a bottle of WVU water.
Little Kickers Day takes place on Saturday, October 23, as the Mountaineers take on Elon, with free entry to any young football player who wears their jersey during the game. After the match, a free youth clinic, featuring members of the WVU men’s soccer team, will take place at the stadium.
The Thursday, Oct. 28 game against Georgia State is free to all fans, while the home season finale on Thursday, Nov. 4 against Bowling Green is Dollar Day. WVU will also honor its senior class in the Senior Night game against the Falcons.

When purchasing in advance online, tickets are $ 5 each, while tickets are $ 3 for groups of 10 or more. At the Dick Dlesk soccer stadium box office, tickets will be $ 7 for adults, $ 5 for youth and seniors, and $ 3 for groups. Discounted online prices will be available until kick off on match day. Fans are encouraged to order their tickets in advance online to avoid queues at the stadium gates.
