A Stevenage dad takes on the challenge of a triathlon not once, not twice, but over and over again as many times as he can during the two-day Blenheim Weekend Warrior Triathlon event.
Kieran Feetham will swim 750m, bike 20k and run 5k – from Saturday September 11 through Sunday September 12 – to raise money for an East and North Men’s Health Champion Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity to help improve men’s health in the community.
The 37-year-old, who has two sons, said: “I want to raise funds so that there is support for new dads as well as for all the guys who have had physical and mental health issues during. blockages It’s very brave for a guy to ask for help, but we have to have the support for them when they do.
“My dad was a European champion triathlete, but even he thinks I’m crazy to participate in this event.”
Kieran runs the Stevenage Injury Clinic and is a running trainer for the Fairlands Valley Spartans, so he knows what a challenge he is up to.
Eloise Huddleston, Director of the East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals Charity, based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, said: “What an incredible challenge Kieran is facing.
“It’s so great to see him fundraising for a Men’s Health Champion to help men who might otherwise have physical and mental health issues. This is needed more than ever. Thank you, Kieran and good luck. . “
